Cass began her acupuncture career in 1992 after studying under the late JR Worsley, at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in England. Dr. Worsley founded the present Five Element Acupuncture system, which forms the foundation of her practice.

Cass returned home to the US to study Chinese herbology at Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). While practicing in London, she took a one-year advanced course for practitioners on integrating these two acupuncture systems at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.

Interested in different cultures and methods of healing, she traveled to Dharamsala, India in 1996 to study Tibetan medicine taught by Dr. Tenzin Choedrak at the Men-Tsee Khang (Tibetan Medical Hospital).

Back in Northern California Cass completed a two-year course in Japanese Acupuncture with her mentor and friend, Dr. Miki Shima. The Japanese style has been a very important addition to her practice, with its emphasis on gentle needle techniques and elegant treatment plans.

Continuing study and inspiration is important to maintain the quality of treatment she provides her patients. Her teacher of 20 years, Niki Bilton, visits her practice twice a year to consult with her clients and teach a dedicated, creative, and supportive group of practitioners.

“I have had the pleasure to practice acupuncture for 17 years and am honored by the many people who have allowed me to share in their lives and healing process. Acupuncture is an opportunity for me to be present and in my heart. For this I am always grateful.”
